System Composer plays well with Lo-Fi prototyping. Lo-Fi prototypes are prototypes that leave out design details and give a basic idea of how a system should look like and work. Lo-Fi prototyping is also often called wireframing. There are many cool wireframing tools, but one of the best is definitely Balsamiq Mockups.
Any such tools can be integrated, not just Balsamiq Mockups, because simply images can be linked.
